Eligiblity

• This E-1 visa is for a person who meets the qualifications stated in the 「Higher Education Act」,
  and plans to engage in education or research·guidance of the professional field at educational institutions of higher than the college level or any of the equivalents.
• If you are hired as a professor, an associate professor, an assistant professor, or a visiting professor, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

Required Documents

The embassy may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country if it’s deemed necessary for visa evaluation.
