Foreign Registration
Apply for FRC
- Foreigners staying in Korea for more than 90 days must complete the foreign registration at a local (Ulsan) immigration office within 90 days from the date of entry.
- Simply receiving your visa is not the last step to registration, and those with visas must receive an FRC to finalize their sojourn documentation.
- It is illegal to stay in Korea for more than 90 days without being registered, regardless of your visa at entry.

Re-Issuance
- Lost or Stolen Registration Cards
- Damaged Registration Cards
- Lack of Space for Necessary Information (i.e. ‘Period of Stay’, ‘Address’)
- Changes in Details on the Existing Card (name, sex, birth date, or nationality)
Application for a new card must be made within 14 days of the above reasons.

Old Registration Card (if the existing card is rendered useless from wear/tear, lack of space, or change of details)

You must go to the local (Ulsan) immigration office to submit your re-issuance form in person.
Reporting Changes
- Foreigners are required to report changes to any details (including change of address) on their FRC within 14 days of the change(payment of fines if reported after 14 days).
- If any of the following changes happen, they must be reported to the local Immigration Office or HiKorea website

Passport details: number, date of issuance, or expiration date

Residence address (*the district office accepts the address change as well.)
Extension of FRC
- International members can apply for an extension of stay, no more than 4 months prior to the expiry date of their foreign registration.
- In case of applying for the extension after the expiry date, the individual shall pay penalty fees according to the immigration Act.
- Through the Hikorea website, it’s available to apply for the extension.
